Most visitors park on the US side in Progreso/Weslaco, walk across the bridge, then take a short local taxi to the clinic. US-side rideshares, including Uber and Lyft, work well to the border; on the Mexico side, local taxis are recommended.
Your Dental Departures advisor can confirm availability, share a written estimate, and sequence back-to-back appointments around your travel—at no extra charge.
Warranties are typically procedure-specific and most often cover lab-made restorations, such as crowns, veneers, bridges, and dentures, and, when stated, implant components for a defined period. Eligibility usually requires following the clinic’s written aftercare, attending maintenance visits as advised, and using protective devices, such as a night guard, if prescribed. Before you commit, we’ll obtain the clinic’s current written warranty for your exact plan, including what’s covered, the duration, any exclusions, and how repairs or replacements are handled.
Bridge Point Dental Clinic is in Nuevo Progreso, a few minutes’ walk from the Progreso International Bridge. Most travelers park in Progreso/Weslaco, Texas, walk across, and take a short taxi to the clinic. If you’re flying, McAllen International Airport is the closest airport; Harlingen and Brownsville are also convenient. We’ll share the GPS pin, walking route, taxi stand tips, and parking suggestions.
Border clinics commonly accept cash and major credit/debit cards; for larger plans, bank transfers may be available. Because accepted card brands, processor fees, and potential cash-discount policies can change, your advisor will confirm the exact accepted methods for your dates and note whether a deposit is required to reserve lab or surgical time.
Spanish and English are supported at reception and chairside. Tell us your preference at booking and we’ll schedule you with an English-speaking coordinator or clinician and provide bilingual consent and aftercare.
These plans are typically two-visit treatments. Visit 1 handles diagnostics and implant placement, plus any graft or sinus lift, often organized in 2–4 days with a brief review. After healing, also called osseointegration, Visit 2 places abutments and the final crown or bridge. If grafting is needed, total timelines extend. Your coordinator will align visits to your travel window and discuss provisional teeth during healing.
Often, yes. When a post/core and permanent crown are included, plan on approximately 4–7 days. Many travelers wear a high-quality temporary while the final crown is fabricated. Timing depends on the tooth, infection control, and lab steps; your written plan will detail the sequence and review visit.
Yes—nitrous oxide, also called gas sedation, and IV sedation are available case-by-case. We’ll confirm suitability, fasting and escort requirements, and how many hours of chair time to reserve so your day runs smoothly.
With advance notice, the clinic can arrange x-rays, including single or panoramic images, and a same-day consultation, so you can review options, costs, and timelines in one visit. Sending recent images and medical/dental history ahead of time speeds planning and helps reduce total visits.

Doctors in the sun promote this clinic , so we used them. Needless to say it’s been a nightmare. Over 6 returns and still no resolution. I got full mouth implants. The IHDE implants are not placed properly and are too long , my teeth are too big . I can not eat . Doctors in the sun is not responding and Dr angel is rarely in his office. I spent a lot of money and now am having an oral surgeon remove all of this out of my jaw and getting dentures until I can go elsewhere to get it redone properly. I lost so much weight due to pain and inability to eat. I do not wish this on anyone - save yourself and avoid this clinic and this “technique” stick to all on 4/6 . Lesson learned . They are great for crowns , the lady who does them I hear is good - just don’t use them for implants . See my photos . I have others I was with with doctors in the sun who had their bridges snap in half . Very cheap material
The “crowns “ is a cheap roundhouse style arch they just toss over my teeth. They are now chipping and food entering the cracks are destroying my teeth that were filed down. I went through doctors in the sun for this procedure. Biggest mistake I’ve made. I am now having to seek implants from other clinics
The office has excellent facilities and medical equipment. Everything necessary to take care of the patient and carry out his treatment from start to finish.
The office is very modern, the facilities are very clean.
It provides good care and I am very satisfied with the progress I am making in my treatment.
