Centro Odontologico de Yucatan (CODY) is located in Merida, Mexico and offers a comprehensive range of treatments in general and specialist dental care.
Established decades ago by a group of professionals committed to providing excellent quality, affordable dental care to local and international patients, the clinic’s director is Dr Roberto Sosa Martinez, a specialist maxillofacial surgeon. The clinic tried to push me to have extra unnecessary tests, like 3D modelling for an extraction and an allergy test for the anaesthetic, though I had already listed my allergies on a medical form. 2. Though the appointment was for an extraction under general anaesthetic, and general anaesthesia is listed as an option for this clinic, in fact patients have to go elsewhere for this. I was also told I'd need to go to the other side of the city for X-rays. 3. The doctor had another patient and saw me in a corridor. Most of the time while talking to me, he did not even bother to look at me. 4. Without seeing any medical/dental records, or examining me in any way, the doctor decided that the condition 2 previous dentists had confirmed, and which had brought me to this surgery, did not exist, and that I must be suffering from anxiety about pain and in need of sedation. 5. A junior doctor apologised for the misinformation I had been given and the time wasted. The senior doctor never did. I will now be using a different dentist for my treatment in Mexico, and strongly recommend any other patient with complex dental problems does the same.

janvier 2020I was very impressed with the clinic and staff. I would highly recommend them. However, it was my understanding that the consultation was free of charge and at the end of my visit, I was presented with a bill. I realize that they took time with me and I had no problem paying for my xray, but we were informed at the time if booking, by email, that there would be no charge for the consultation. This disappointed me very much considering how impressed I was with everything else.
